Meet Bugs! (And Daffy)

Meet Bugs! (And Daffy) is a live interactive show at Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi that gives everyone the opportunity to join the stage and become part of the show with their favorite rascally rabbit and despicable duck. The show takes guests through a series of rooms as a mobile theater performance, where they can meet and interact with live costumed actors, as well as encounter a variety of special effects, including animatronic figures, integrated multimedia, and customized sound effects. Select volunteers will have the opportunity to perform on stage with Bugs and Daffy, and all guests can pose with the cartoon duo at the end for a one-of-a-kind photo opportunity.

Inside the Cartoon Junction Playhouse, guests are taken on a backstage tour where they learn that Bugs Bunny is preparing for his next big show. Bugs invites his adoring audience to take part in the performance with him, where they can play the role of one of their favorite Looney Tunes characters, such as Tweety Bird, Taz, or Elmer Fudd. Of course, Daffy Duck has to interrupt to make sure the show is really all about him, to predictably looney results.

The Flintstones: Bedrock River Adventure

Located in Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi, this family-friendly flume ride features detailed scenic sets and props to immerse guests in the world of Bedrock. Including a unique turntable element with an immersive 270-degree media sequence, The Flintstones: Bedrock Adventure features intricately detailed sets and animated figures and ends with a surprise splashdown drop.  Thinkwell provided concept design, schematic design, design development, in-field art direction and creative integration, IP management, production, media production, audio design, technical design, and onsite supervision for modern stone-age water-based attraction.

Guests will embark on a scenic boat ride through the modern stone-age suburbs and city of beautiful Bedrock, taking in the prehistoric sights and sounds of a day in the life of the family down the street. But this isn’t just any day in Bedrock–it’s the town’s “Stonetennial” Celebration, and there’s dinosaur-sized trouble in store when Dino gets loose and runs amuck during the big parade.

Tom and Jerry: Swiss Cheese Spin

The classic cat-and-mouse duo of Tom and Jerry is featured on their very own high-speed spinning roller coaster at Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi. The completely indoor ride through the dark features dynamic twists and turns, as guests ride aboard customized spinning wheels of cheese and whiz past illuminated scenes of mayhem, including several integrated media effects and full-scale scenic character props, all scored to a customized on-board soundtrack.  Thinkwell provided concept design, schematic design, design development, in-field art direction and creative integration, IP management, production, media production, audio design, technical design, and onsite supervision for this family-friendly roller coaster.

Guests begin their journey through the iconic house belonging to Tom and Jerry, where evidence of a recent chase can be found all around. Passing between the walls, guests soon find themselves shrunk down to the size of a mouse, where they discover Jerry’s scheme to capture and transport cheese up to his hidden cheese bank. There’s only one thing standing in the way of his plan… Tom. Sure enough, soon guests are sent on a wild chase throughout the house as Tom chases Jerry and Jerry chases the cheese!

Scooby-Doo and the Museum of Mysteries

In this innovative dark ride experience, trackless ride technology lets guests share the mystery with other ghost hunters and experience the silly thrills of a classic Scooby-Doo cartoon in a whole new way. Traditional audio animatronics and a variety of both classic and innovative dark ride special effects bring the ghoulies to life, creating a spine-tingling and immersive ride-through “episode” of the beloved cartoon. The trackless ride system is used in unique ways here, with individual vehicles branching into their own scenes multiple times. This culminates in a chaotic never-before-done scene, with multiple ride vehicles crisscrossing with a show vehicle “driven” by Shaggy and Scooby, in a wild recreation of the show’s classic “hallway chase.” Thinkwell provided concept design, schematic design, design development, in-field art direction and creative integration, IP management, production, media production, audio design, technical design, and onsite supervision for this innovative attraction.

Guests will hop aboard a spook-tacular ride through the Museum of Mysteries, following the intrepid detectives of Mystery Incorporated as they discover sarcophagi hiding in secret passageways, pass through eerie corridors with haunted mirrors, and escape haunted suits of armor that follow along in hot pursuit. Guests of all ages will shiver with Shaggy and giggle with Scooby as they uncover the mysteries of this mystifying museum!

Ani-Mayhem

A crazy collection of beloved Looney Tunes characters are brought together on Ani-Mayhem,  the attraction that serves as a centerpiece attractions of Cartoon Junction at Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi. Utilizing roving trackless vehicles with on-board interactive laser scanners this wacky, fast-paced experience features both fully interactive 3D CGI multimedia and reactive practical effects. Perfecting the animation to be as exacting as possible to the original Looney Tunes look and feel but in 3D was its own challenge; creating dimensional sets pulled straight from the classic cartoons was another.  Thinkwell provided concept design, schematic design, design development, in-field art direction and creative integration, IP management, production, media production, audio design, technical design, and onsite supervision for this highly repeatable family attraction.

The zaniness begins inside ACME’s Research and Development office, where guests are given a brief tour of ACME’s legacy of “quality” products before climbing into an ACME delivery truck to go on a globe-hopping, package-scanning adventure. Along the way guests will encounter Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Elmer Fudd, Sylvester, Tweety Bird, Foghorn Leghorn, Taz, Wile E. Coyote, Marvin the Martian, and many other beloved characters, all while trying to scan as many packages as possible in the hopes that they just might become ACME Employee of the Month!

The Joker Funhouse

This twisted interactive walkthrough experience located in Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi immerses guests into a funhouse of mind-bending tricks, tests, and surprises, including a hall of mirrors, a shrinking corridor, a labyrinth, and a hallucination hallway. Thinkwell worked in partnership with Warner Bros. to provide concept design, schematic design, design development, in-field art direction and creative integration, IP management, production, media production, audio design, technical design, and onsite supervision for this twisted take on a classic walkthrough attraction.

Amidst a time-ravaged pleasure pier, the Clown Prince of Crime has requisitioned and repurposed an age-old funhouse, welcoming guests to join his gang of miscreant minions. Guests are invited to join the Joker and his gang of goons, thugs, and hooligans as new henchman recruits. To join Gotham’s most feared villains, guests must explore, climb, and slide through a rogue’s gallery of silly, sideshow-inspired rooms filled with mischievous contraptions. Guests take on a series of physical and mental challenges conjured up by Batman’s nemesis in this, a villainous twist on the classic carnival walkthrough experience.

Justice League: Warworld Attacks!

Thinkwell collaborated with DC Entertainment and Warner Bros. to bring the Justice League to life on this high-energy dark ride attraction at Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi. Featuring high-definition 3D CGI multimedia seamlessly integrated with full-scale scenic environments and special effects, Justice League: Warworld Attacks takes guests on a thrilling, spectacular adventure aboard trackless, motion-base dark ride vehicles to save the planet from one of the Justice League’s all-time greatest enemies. This is one of the first trackless rides in the world to use branching into multiple immersive media scenes. Thinkwell provided concept design, schematic design, design development, in-field art direction and creative integration, IP management, production, media production, audio design, technical design, and onsite supervision for this headlining attraction.

Guests enter through the inspiring and iconic Hall of Justice located in Metropolis. Their tour doesn’t get far before the super-villain Mongul is threatening the planet with invasion, using the colossal battleship-planet Warworld, as well as a legion of indentured warriors and potent Black Mercy plants. Guests are quickly evacuated aboard a Javelin-7 craft on a mission to deactivate Warworld’s power core and to send Mongul to the Phantom Zone. Only by working together with the rest of the Justice League, including Superman, Wonder Woman, and Cyborg, can guests do their part to help save the world.

Green Lantern: Galactic Odyssey

This action-packed flying theater attraction was produced by Thinkwell for Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi. Seating 90 riders at a time suspended in front of a 124-foot diameter (38-meter) half-dome screen—one of the largest in the world—Green Lantern: Galactic Odyssey features fully immersive media rendered in high resolution 4K 60-fps computer animation and with on-board special effects including wind, scents, and mist. Thinkwell provided creative integration and in-field art direction, IP management, production, media production, audio design, technical design, and onsite supervision for this unique media simulation attraction.

Entering through the Metropolis Observatory for what appears to be a planetarium show, a clever reveal suddenly thrusts guests into a whirlwind tour of the cosmos led by the famed member of the Green Lantern Corps, Hal Jordan. The journey includes a visit to the Green Lantern’s home base on the planet Oa, the lush beauty of planet Odym, and a fearsome encounter with Hal’s arch-nemesis Sinestro and the monstrous Parallax. The story’s careful mix of awe-inspiring wonder and gasp-inducing thrills has made it a breakout success at Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi.

NFL Experience

Located in New York City’s Times Square, NFL Experience is a high-tech attraction that lets visitors immerse themselves in America’s favorite sport. In partnership with the NFL and Cirque du Soleil Entertainment Group, Thinkwell provided a wide range of creative, design, and production services to bring the NFL Experience to life.

With more than 20 interactive touch screen stations representing 32 NFL teams, the innovative design uses technology and interactive media elements to take visitors on a complete journey through the football experience—from being a fan to being a player on the field at the Super Bowl.

Notable attractions include the Super Bowl Celebration Room, which uses augmented reality to bring visitors on the field for the biggest celebration of the year; Huddle Up, an immersive point-of-view experience that puts visitors inside the huddle as the quarterback; and the NFL Game Plan Challenge, which uses elaborate special effects and a unique projection system to let visitors meet former Oakland Raiders and Tampa Bay Buccaneers coach Jon Gruden and get ready for the big game. Thinkwell Media also contributed editing and production services, in conjunction with NFL Films, for the Immersive Media Tunnel that concludes the attraction as well as other media elements in the experience.
