Katniss Everdeen and company will hit the road in 2015.
Lionsgate Entertainment announced The Hunger Games: The Exhibition, a tour that will visit U.S. cities in the summer of 2015. The move, announced Friday, could be the first towards an actual Hunger Games theme park.
The exhibition will be featured in major museums and institutions across the country, and include interactive displays with the costumes, props and other elements found in the world depicted in the blockbuster franchise.
It will also incorporate artifacts featured in the first three films from locations within the Capitol and the various districts of Panem.
Additionally, the studio announced Jenefer Brown of the Thinkwell Group has been brought onboard to oversee the launch of the U.S. tour and to “explore additional theme park attraction and other location-based entertainment opportunities around the world,” according to a Lionsgate Entertainment release.
The tour will travel the country several months ahead of the November 20, 2015, worldwide release of the fourth film, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay — Part 2.
Part of the film’s promotional effort, it will also sell advance tickets to moviegoers.
