ORLANDO, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35 ORLANDO) – On September 28th, the Orlando Science Center will be opening Sesame Street Presents: The Body exhibit.
Hosting the exhibit will be the famous Sesame Street Muppets that most children know and love.
As soon as they enter the exhibit, they will find that they are right on Sesame Street at the 123 Building. The kids that visit this exhibit will be able to participate in interactive multimedia experiences that will teach them about the human body and how to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
One of the activities included in the exhibit is called, “Who Are You?” which teaches kids that people come in all sorts of shapes and sizes and that even though we may look different, our bodies all function in the same way.
Three areas of exploration are included in the exhibit:
- Your Outsides – This area teaches children the various body parts and what each of them do.
- Your Insides – Certain activities will explain what goes on inside the body and how the different organs work.
- Staying Healthy – Children will learn how to eat healthy, stay clean and how to take part in physical activity. Also, kids will learn that sleep is especially important in keeping the body healthy and functioning.
